‘The Walking Dead’ season 6: Norman Reedus assures us more Daryl is coming

Daryl -

Was the first half of “The Walking Dead” season 6 a little bit light on the Daryl? Definitely. Norman Reedus is one of the landmark stars of the show, and with that in mind, he’s someone that you want to have a constant stream of from start to finish on the series.

Luckily, that is something that is going to change in the near future, at least according to some new comments that the actor handed down as a part of a new interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“Yeah, we’ll definitely have a steadier dose. I look at what they’re doing, and I look at the storylines, and they all completely make sense to me.”

Also, Reedus is right there with you when it comes to how strange it was being separated from the majority of the group during the first half of the season:

“It is kind of weird. It feels like the band split up a little bit. It’s strange. I love working with those guys, but I had a lot of time off the first half, and what I did do was spread out. My storyline sort of took me away from Alexandria while Alexandria was being attacked, so it makes sense. But yeah, I’m definitely excited for people to see the second half. I definitely have more to do.”

Did having Daryl separate from Alexandria for a while make some sense given his objectives? Sure, but at the same time we would’ve much preferred the method of storytelling to be different, where instead of going at such a slow pace things were sped up and the show maybe reunited most of the gang in episode 4 or 5 rather than after episode 8. As of right now, Daryl is still separate from the majority of the group.
