‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 17, episode 14 preview: Sophia Bush, Jon Seda kick off crossover

At one point this past summer, there was talk about doing a massive four-way crossover between “Law & Order: SVU” and the three “Chicago” shows executive-produced by Dick Wolf. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like anything ever came out of that, but we are getting to see a two-part crossover airing next week that is going to bring back Dallas Roberts as a very familiar murder in Greg Yates.

The story will begin with “SVU” before turning over to “Chicago PD,” and you can see the synopsis for part 1 below:

Chicago P.D. detectives Lindsay (guest star Sophia Bush) and Dawson (guest star Jon Seda) join the SVU in the hunt for two escaped murderers (returning guest stars Dallas Roberts and Jefferson Mays) they helped to convict.”

We imagine that this is going to be an epic episode, and a real treat for people who have been watching the past few years to behold. With that being said, we also imagine that there are going to be some other major problems to go along with it … including whether or not Yates can make it out of this situation alive. There are many reasons to think that his time could be running out, but one of the biggest ones is merely that there are only so many times that he can do terrible things before someone puts him down. If he continued to escape for many years in a row, we’d start to wonder whether or not there was something wrong with the people at the jail.
