‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: More details about Katana’s return

Arrow -If you think back to “Arrow” season 3, Tatsu was one of the better new additions to the group. She is responsible in many ways now for bringing Oliver Queen back to life, and while we didn’t see a whole lot of Katana on the show, that alter-ego was amazing whenever it was busted out.

With that being said now, there is what we would call a natural and understandable fear emerging in regards to the character’s future: That she is going to be cast aside, primarily so that “Suicide Squad” can have her all to itself. Remember, we’re talking here about a parent company in DC Entertainment who has already killed off both Deadshot and Amanda Waller on the show, while also rendering Harley Quinn completely useless by basically nixing any future mentions of the character.

While of course show executive producer Wendy Mericle could not confirm the fate of Katana to TVLine, she did at least make it clear that the show does have some more plans for her … even if it is just for a single episode:

“We loved that Tatsu last season kind of evolved into [Katana], so we’re really excited about her return. It was great to have Rila [Fukushima] back and to see that character again, but it’ll be kind of a new, surprising way that we do it.”

Our stance will always be the same: We don’t understand why there can’t just be TV and movie versions of these characters, since it’s not exactly like one directly competes against the other. Plus, it’s already clear in some way that there is a TV and movie Superman, and they’re making a movie all about The Flash starring a different actor.
