‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 spoilers: The aftermath to key Ellen Pompeo story

When “Grey’s Anatomy” returns to ABC on February 11, it will be doing so with the most harrowing episode of the season for Meredith Grey. After being attacked by a patient, Ellen Pompeo’s character will face a difficult recovery. Not only that, but one of the doctors who finds her is someone she holds a certain degree of disdain for based on past events.

By the time you make it to the end of the winter premiere, this story will be far from wrapped up. As the short synopsis below (via SpoilerTV) for the February 18 episode “All I Want Is You” reveals, you’re going to have a chance to see the aftermath for Meredith, further conflict between Nathan and Owen, and a whole lot more:

“As everyone deals with Meredith’s trauma, Maggie and Callie perform a risky, experimental surgery on a teenager; Nathan and Owen remain at odds; Maggie and Andrew’s relationship progresses.”

Eventually, we imagine that we are going to figure out what the real source of the tension is between Owen and Dr. Riggs, though it may take some time. All we know for certain is that it involved Owen’s sister in some capacity, and that Riggs had at least a close relationship at one point with some of the members of Owen’s family. As for all of the other finer details, those may take a little bit of time to unfold and for us to figure them out. As soon as we know more, we’re going to share it with you here!
