‘Suits’ season 5 spoilers: First details on winter premiere ‘Blowback’

Can you feel that? It’s some of the metaphorical excitement blowing in the wind for the return of “Suits” to USA! It is one of our absolute favorite shows, and with that it is of course quite a thrill to see that we are back to talking about new episodes.

With that being said, there is trouble in the wind for Mike Ross on the winter premiere “Blowback” (airing on January 27). He’s finally been arrested for impersonating a real attorney and committing fraud, and this puts Pearson, Specter, Litt in a precarious position. You want to root for them and also Mike, but at the same time everyone involved knows that he is guilty of what he is accused of doing! Therefore, this is a difficult subject for them to really broach for the sake of saving their own hide, and it’s something that we imagine we’re going to be diving into a lot more as we get further and further into this season. Regardless of his intent, the law is the law.

The synopsis below paints a pretty clear picture that despite the situation, that Mike still seems to have the support of Jessica and Harvey:

“Jessica and Harvey must figure out how to build a defense for Mike, knowing full well that he’s guilty of the crime for which he stands accused.”

As for whether or not this support will last if things become grim, that remains to be seen.
