‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: Jewel Staite of ‘Firefly’ scores guest spot
The love affair between “Firefly” and the DC Comics Universe on The CW continues. We’ve already seen both Sean Maher and Summer Glau appear on “Arrow,” and we’re now getting a chance to see Jewel Staite make an appearance on the upcoming “Legends of Tomorrow.”
According to TVLine, Staite will appear in the part of Rachel Turner, a tech / robotics genius from the future who believes that her innovations are out there to make the world better. However, she is soon to realize that there is someone in Vandal Savage who could use them for the purpose of destruction in the event they fall into his hands. This means that our crew of ragtag heroes / antiheroes have a new mission!
Oh, and one other thing: Turner is a descendant of a prominent character / inventor in the DC world; the initial report does not mention whether or not it is someone we’ve seen on “Arrow” or “The Flash” so far. (If not, maybe it’s a sign we could see them down the line! Always have to hope…)
The series premiere of the show is set for January 21, and we know that we’re going to see many familiar faces as guest stars from the already-established universe. Neal McDonough will appear as Damien Darhk, while Matt Nable will be stopping by for a reprisal of Ra’s al Ghul while Carlos Valdes will bring a version of Cisco Ramon over at some point. There’s a lot of fun stuff and surprises to get excited for already!
