‘Suits’ season 5 spoilers: Will you be surprised by who turned in Mike?

While there are several open story threads at the moment on “Suits” season 5, to us it is pretty darn clear what the one is that is going to drive the most people up the wall until the show returns on January 27: Who is responsible for what happened to Mike Ross? His arrest was a moment we never quite saw coming on the show, mostly because of how there was such a constant effort made to ensure that nobody would ever turn him in.

What we’re intrigued to learn right now is that the person who is ultimately responsible for this action is not even someone creator Aaron Korsh had in mind for the crime. For more on that, just take a look at some of his comments per TV Guide:

“The writers came up with a different answer than I did … I don’t know if everybody will be [surprised by the person’s identity]. But there’s a long list of people who knew and there are certainly plenty of other people who could’ve found out and handed him in even though we’ve never seen them know.”

Korsh also added that while it’s possible that Mike and Rachel still could have their wedding, “they’re certainly not gonna have it in the same form” that they once planned. This could be even more true if it turns out that someone in her family is responsible for turning him in.

The problem with Mike’s lie is that so long as someone had the right information in front of them and did a little digging, they can find out the truth about his education. It’s not something so covert that it would take a super-genius to figure it out. That leaves the list of candidates open to almost anyone on the show, and that’s exciting.
