NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 5 return delayed a week

If you really enjoy “Grimm” on NBC, let’s just hope you are the patient type. There is no new episode tonight, and as it turns out, there is now not going to be another new episode of the show coming for a little while still.

As the show’s official writers room confirmed in a post on Twitter, the show is now going to be returning on Friday, January 29, one week later than expected. What’s the reasoning for that? It’s hard to say. There are still the vast majority of the episodes still to air; not only that, but the show just announced on this past episode that Bitsie Tulloch is still a part of the series. She just has a different role, and it is still to be seen everything that she knows and what her motivations are.

Does this move mark any particular indictment on the show’s ratings? We think that it would be a mistake to say that. All it really represents to us when the dust settles is that NBC has a different airing structure in mind, and maybe they want to air some of these installments as a series without there being any repeats in there to gum it up. That’s a good thing, at least so long as there are not any episodes that are being burned off at any point along the way this season.
