‘Supergirl’ episode 9 preview: When will Melissa Benoist, cast return for ‘Blood Bonds’?
Tonight, the winter finale of “Supergirl” brought to the table a number of different surprises, with one of the biggest ones being that perhaps not everything was as it cracked up to be when it comes to Astra and Kara’s mother.
So when are you going to see Melissa Benoist and the cast on your TV set again? The good news is that it will be coming sooner rather than later. While some shows are not coming back until the middle of January or even February, “Supergirl” returns with the episode entitled “Blood Bonds” on Monday, January 4. This episode is the ninth of the season, and we imagine that you will get many more throughout the first couple of months of the season.
In the end, there are twenty episodes in season 1, so with that you’re going to get a chance to see plenty more stories and surprises. We have yet to even reach the halfway point of this particular season, and hopefully by the time we get around to the middle of January we’ll know if the odds are high of this getting a second season. Despite starting off big, it has already lost a little bit of momentum over the past couple of installments.
As for some basic things to expect in the next part of the season, be prepared to see much more of the Martian Manhunter backstory, and for Non to start to take his place as one of the big villains of the season. For now, Astra has been the one primarily in the spotlight.
