‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 11 preview: ‘Star Wars’ and Sheldon and Amy

Next week’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” is the winter finale, and as you probably have heard, one of the most important episodes of the show’s run. In an effort to prevent spoilers and probably also to get big ratings, CBS has confirmed already that by the time this half-hour is over, Sheldon and Amy will have finally consummated their relationship. For those of you who felt tired about Thursday night’s earworm story, this installment could be for you!

“After more than five years of dating, Sheldon and Amy spend their first night together. Also, Leonard, Wolowitz, and Koothrappali must decide who will take their extra Star Wars movie ticket, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Dec.17 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Emmy Award winner Bob Newhart returns as Sheldon’s Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

Will Sheldon and Amy’s big moment change everything in their relationship? We’re not sure about that, but the two could at least reach a new level of mutual respect and appreciation for one another. That’s something that the two have not always had over the course of their relationship.

As for how long the show is going to be hiatus, we imagine that it will return at some point in January when you consider the typical schedule that the show operates on. They have to jam in a number of stories in during the months of January and February, since the show will probably have some sort of hiatus in March and April for the NCAA playoffs.
