‘Major Crimes’ season 4, episode 17 preview: A missing persons case and a test
The first thing that we should make note of about next week’s new episode of “Major Crimes” is something as simple as the title: “#FindKayla.” It’s a little unusual for this show to make such a direct mention of social media right out of the gate, but it is a pretty clear reference to the fact that we are in the social-media age, and the missing person that the team is ultimately looking for is someone who would probably be a frequent social-media user.
If you are interested in getting some basic news in terms of what to expect here, let’s start by sharing the synopsis for this hour below:
“A professional baseball pitcher’s daughter goes missing, and the Major Crimes team’s investigation leads them to the very limits of the justice system. Rusty is put in an extremely awkward position as Slider approaches the last phase of his trial.”
Given that we are near the end of this part of the season (remember, five more episodes are going to be coming in February), one of the things that we do explicitly expect to see unfold in the near future are some more trials and tribulations when it comes to Rusty figuring out whether or not he should be focusing so much of his energy on Rusty and his case. After all, how is he going to feel in the event that the case has different results than what he anticipated going into it?
