‘Supergirl’ episode 8 (winter finale) preview: Supergirl vs. Astra

How about that ending on “Supergirl” Monday night? Not only did we get a chance to learn the truth about “Hank Henshaw” at the DEO, but we also saw the return of Astra to the world as she and Kara are about to face off once again. What we have now is a battle of two powerful aliens who are going to make matters very personal. It’s a little different than the standard villain we have seen so far, mostly because this one knew of Kara long before she came to Earth.

“Hostile Takeover” is the title for the big winter finale coming up. Want some other details all about what to expect? Then you don’t have to look any further than the attached synopsis:

“Kara goes toe-to-toe with Astra when her aunt challenges Kara’s beliefs about her mother. Also, Cat is threatened with being removed as the CEO of CatCo after a hacker exposes her private and damaging emails.”

One thing that will be interesting about the Cat story is that since Kara Danvers technically works as an assistant to her, anything that happens to one of them could technically happen to the other. Therefore, is there at least some reason to be worried over what is going to be coming up around the bend? At the moment, it feels fairly safe to say that the answer there is “yes,” since the last thing Kara wants or needs is to be spending her time in an unemployment line somewhere finding a new cover.
