‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 21 review: Max faces off with his father; a shocking death

Finding Carter -Over the course of “Finding Carter” season 2, we’ve seen so many stories be a slow burn. There are many episodes that we don’t even really remember when looking back at them because so little happened.

Yet, it is fair to say that Tuesday night’s “The Death of a Heart” may be the most stunning and also probably the strongest episode of the season. How else can you describe an hour that featured a horrifying fight, a confrontation between Carter and Elizabeth weeks in the making, and also a death. We have a hard time knowing where to start here, so let’s just take things one at a time.

Seth is gone – Remember that “legal” party that Carter was trying to throw with Jared? Well, it took a horrible turn courtesy of Seth’s death. This is a game-changer, an eye-opener, and it may be the one thing that causes Carter to realize that she really does not know best. Seth had an overdose, and Jared knew what this would mean for his drug-trading operation. Therefore, he panicked and moved the body off the scene.

Max’s father – He wanted to believe that his dad had changed, but he was still skeptical of it. Therefore, in the middle of a reunion-of-sorts he purposefully provoked him … and learned in the process that he really hadn’t gotten any better. The two had a really brutal fight as a result, and Max’s father ended up back in handcuffs. This was a terribly heart-wrenching story, but it may be over already.

Carter fights with Elizabeth – Before the incident with Seth, Carter claimed that she knew Jared and was fine living with him. Now, she has to brace for the possibility that Carter learns from her mistakes first-hand, and eventually finds her way back.
