NBC’s ‘The Voice’ iTunes results: Jordan Smith, Madi Davis, Barrett Baber big winners

VoiceAt the end of “The Voice” Tuesday night, the remaining ten artists are going to become nine … which is a totally cool thing until you remember that the show next week is narrowing this down all the way to the final four. We’d take this moment to get on our soapbox about how the live playoffs should start with fewer artists (12-16) and the regular live shows only eight to avoid these mass eliminations, but that’s not why we are here.

Instead, let’s talk what is a pretty impressive past 12-15 hours (depending where you live) of buying songs on iTunes. Out of the remaining contestants, seven of them have songs featured in the top ten: Jordan Smith (#2), Barrett Baber (#3), Madi Davis (#4), Emily Ann Roberts (#5), Jeffery Austin (#7), Amy Vachal (#9), and Shelby Brown (#10). When you have this many people in the top ten it’s hard to guarantee all of them, but we’d say that other than Shelby, we’re pretty confident about everyone. We’re even pretty confident about Shelby.

Ultimately, the bottom two looks easy to predict this week. Korin Bukowski is once again lower than most of the other contestants, this time at #29 with “Same Old Love.” Meanwhile, Braiden Sunshine is completely MIA. We get the sense that people like him, but not enough to actually but some of his music, we’re sad to say. We know he has fans, but it’s hard to see him avoiding the #VoiceSave tonight given that the only other person not near the top ten is Zach Seabaugh (#20). Do you really think that Braiden’s voting block is bigger than Blake’s country army? We doubt it.

In case you are wondering, Adele’s “Hello” is still at #1. Good luck trying to dethrone that.
