‘The Leftovers’ season 2, episode 10 (finale) spoilers: It all descends on Jarden
During Sunday night’s new episode of “The Leftovers,” we started to realize for the first time just how much everything is going to unravel in the town of Jarden, Texas. Kevin Garvey has now had a spiritual awakening, and that is something that may be causing him to rethink some of his decisions in life. Unfortunately for him, this said awakening is coming at a time when there is a great deal of devastation in the world surrounding him, and also when unknowingly the town of Miracle a.k.a. Jarden is bracing for one of its biggest attacks ever.
The synopsis below sets the stage for the finale, but at the same time it only tells you so much:
“Kevin (Justin Theroux) comes clean to a skeptical John (Kevin Carroll) about his connection to Evie’s disappearance, as Miracle faces an unexpected threat on the fourth anniversary of The Departure.”
The promo below is at least a little more effective at setting up a part of the stage for the night’s course of events. You’re going to see Meg’s attack on Jarden come to fruition, and as a result of this there will be chaos of various forms running rampant the moment that she gets past the gates. If she can mobilize some of the refugees alongside her, then she will only add to the chaos and the potential loss of life if she really does end up killing people.
One thing that does fill us with dread, regardless of what the story is, is the notion that this could be the series finale coming up, given that HBO has yet to renew the show for a second season.
