‘Doctor Who’ season 9, episode 11 ratings: Did Jenna Coleman’s exit have an impact?

Doctor Who -There’s always something fascinating with watching the ratings for a hit TV show after some sort of seismic shift takes place. At times, this is the sort of thing that rocks a show by its very foundation and changes almost everything; however, at the same time this is the thing that you can upset viewers with in the event that you are removing someone beloved from the equation and they can threaten to not watch anymore.

Of course, the reality here still is that the majority of the time that there are these said threats, it never really materializes into much of anything, and people do still manage to watch. One way or another, we don’t find that it has that much of an impact. The first “Doctor Who” episode since Jenna Coleman’s exit Saturday (she did have a brief cameo Saturday) was actually watched by more viewers. In total, 4.51 million people caught “Heaven Sent,” a slight increase from the week before when Clara departed.

What does this mean going into the finale? Hopefully, it is a way to encourage more and more viewers to tune in and check the show out life! If there was a series out there that needed the added support right now, this is it. We do think that “Doctor Who” for the most part brings a lot to the table, and “Heaven Sent” was the best episode in our mind since last year’s “Listen.” Let’s hope that so many viewers agree.

We will be back throughout the week for more news on what lies ahead, so be on the lookout!
