‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 8, episode 4 preview: Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams’ boat feud

There is some sort of unwritten mandate on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” that some of these people can only go so long before screaming at each other? Sometimes we wonder that, especially after seeing the new promo below for Sunday night’s new episode. This one features something that sounds extremely fun in theory: A boat party for the ladies that gives them a chance to do a little bonding.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t take a long time before things start to take a turn for the worse. Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams go at it in between snide “Miss America” comments and shade-throwing galore. At the end of it, they may even need to be separated! Are favorite part of the promo, though, may just be Kim Fields’ reaction to all of this as it goes down. Think of this as a crash-course of being a part of this franchise.

The synopsis below gives you an idea of some of the other stories that will be unfolding over the course of the hour:

“Kenya makes a surprise visit to Chateau Shereè and is astonished by what she uncovers. After Cynthia and Peter’s emotional talk surrounding their relationship, Cynthia talks with Kandi about the uncertainty of her marriage. Meanwhile, Porsha and Duke hit a bump in the road. Sensing Cynthia needing a shoulder to lean on, Kenya suggests a day trip on a boat with the girls to take her mind off things. The ladies set sail for a tranquil afternoon booze cruise of fun and sun but things quickly take a turn for the worse when Cynthia and Porsha clash — shocking everyone on board.”
