‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 11 (fall finale) preview: Jim Gordon, Oswald Cobblepot team up

Jim GordonWhile the Penguin may be one of the biggest villains in the history of “Gotham,” he is still a practical man in some ways. He’s fairly easy to read. If you do something to him, he in turn is going to do something to you. He’s not acting out of madness in the way that Jerome or Barbara has this season; when he has a goal, he uses resources to find a way to resolve it.

On Monday night’s fall finale for the season, some of these said resources are going to be tied to none other than Jim Gordon. They may not be on the same page often, but the reality here is still this: They need each other in many ways. Jim and Oswald both want Theo Galavan gone, and for different reasons. Jim now realizes just who he is and his precise motive; all Oswald seems to know for now is that Galavan killed his mother, and that is enough for him to be on the offensive.

The title for the key episode next week is “More Than a Crime,” and the synopsis below gives you more scoop on what to expect:

“When Bruce Wayne is kidnapped, Gordon must look to some unlikely and dangerous allies for help. It is a battle of the villains, and not everyone makes it out alive.”

So who could die? Silver St. Cloud and Theo are both candidates in their own right, but we admit that it’d be a little strange to see Galavan go so quickly over learning about his ties to the Order of St. Dumas.
