‘Doctor Who’ season 9, episode 10 ratings: Key Jenna Coleman story draws solid numbers

Doctor Who -Did a certain headline-making event on “Doctor Who” convince some more viewers to watch live? Based on early returns, the clear answer to this is “yes.” (Warning: Spoilers ahead!)

The latest episode of the ITV series entitled “Face the Raven,” which just so happened to be the one featuring the death of Clara Oswald, drew in total close to 4.5 million viewers. This makes the episode the third-most-popular of the season so far, and one that does carry with it a solid foundation moving into the two-part finale beginning this coming weekend.

Is it possible that we still have not seen Clara’s swan song in full? We would be foolish to rule it out completely, mostly because of the fact that “Doctor Who” has this rare talent of being able to revive characters at times, even if they are just metaphorical ghosts who turn up in a scene or state a line or two. Jenna Coleman’s presence will loom large over at least the rest of the season, and then once we get to the start of season 10 we may be able to move on further courtesy of a new companion signing up and entering the fold.

Be sure to stay tuned, as we’re planning to have even more news coming up when it comes to the series and this weekend’s big episode in the near future! All signs point to it being an emotional, action-packed affair that also sets up the upcoming Christmas episode in fine fashion.
