‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: Clark Gregg teases mass craziness in midseason finale
If you thought that the midseason finale of “Agents of SHIELD” was crazy last season (it was, given that this was when Daisy Johnson, who was just Skye at the time, learned about her Inhuman ways), be prepared to have your jaw completely on the ground by the end of the midway point this year.
To quote the great “Reading Rainbow,” you don’t have to take our word for it. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Clark Gregg himself makes it clear that there were going to be some huge things coming up next month that will blow you away:
“I would say that this midseason finale has two shocking twists and both of them are bigger than anything that happened in last season’s midseason finale.”
There are many reasons why creating such a huge twist or two at this point are so effective, and we begin with this: Setting the foundation now is important in order to get people talking for one. In addition to that, it’s also integral in making sure that people want to come back. Just like with season 2, the show is taking another lengthy hiatus in January and February before eventually coming back in March. That’s when the story will pick back up, and probably deliver some more awesome storytelling. In between Andrew as Lash and the beginnings of the Secret Warriors, this season has been stuffed full of great twists already.
Unfortunately, there is a little bit of a wait ahead. Thanks to the finale of “Dancing with the Stars,” there is no new episode airing Tuesday.
