‘The Big Bang Theory,’ season 8, episode 9 video: Thanksgiving madness

There is a Thanksgiving episode for “The Big Bang Theory” coming up on Thursday night, but before we do anything else we have to shake our head mightily at the CBS promo department for all of their talk of the term “Bangsgiving.” Let’s just say that this term has already been used on “New Girl,” albeit with a very different meaning than the one than it has been given here.

Anyhow, the new promo below gives you a very interesting impression of the wide array of stories that are coming your way. First and foremost, know that Amy and Sheldon are talking again. Hooray! We do consider this something very much worth celebrating, even though it does still feel rather clear that they have a ways to go before they are back together in any form. All we can say about this episode is that the two are going to go out as friends, seeing if they can make something work there.

Meanwhile, for some reason Leonard is dressed in a woman’s nightie, mostly because apparently this gag is still funny in 2015. We’re not entirely sure what the show is doing with him and Penny right now, but there are enough other storylines going on that it’s okay if this one is just weird humor.

Finally, for fans of Raj / Emily you should know that she’s back! She may be taking part in what is a story at a soup kitchen, where the two of them are working alongside Howard and Bernadette to try to give out some holiday cheer to other people.
