‘Doctor Who’ season 9, episode 10 preview: ‘Face the Raven’ and Maisie Williams’ return
Isn’t it ironic that Maisie Williams is returning to “Doctor Who” for an episode entitled “Face the Raven”? It’s almost like Bran Stark wrote the next installment of the show himself! This is going to be a chance to continue on with the story past “Sleep No More,” which at the time we’re writing this feels like one of the oddest episodes that we’ve seen this whole season.
The synopsis below offers up a little more insight into where exactly we are going, some significant danger, and the promise of at least one major death (cue ominous music):
“The Doctor and Clara, with their old friend Rigsy, find themselves in a magical alien world, hidden on a street in the heart of London.
“Sheltered within are some of the most fearsome creatures of the universe… and Ashildr (Maisie Williams)! With a death sentence hanging over their heads, not all of the intruders will get out alive.”
We are starting to think with at least considerations for what the end of the season could be, and also how Jenna Coleman could be exiting. We would be surprised in the event that the show writes out Clara in this episode, mostly because we feel like it’s a better move to wrap up the story during the eleventh and twelfth episode of the season. The Christmas Special is going to feature Alex Kingston, and it’s with that we wonder whether or not she will be serving in the capacity as at least some sort of temporary Companion.
