‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: First look at ‘Just My Imagination’

Supernatural -

We love how “Supernatural” seems to be getting even more creative in its eleventh season. Wednesday night’s new episode “Plush” seems to be about evil, life-size stuffed rabbits (we’re not making this up), and the upcoming December 2 installment “Just My Imagination” is going to basically feature Sam’s imaginary friend as a child coming to life. Not only is this going to be a chance to see young Sam on the show again, but it also will give us a story that is rather interesting in the present … even if it doesn’t seem to have much to do with the Darkness or anything that is going on there.

The CW recently released a full synopsis for this particular hour; check it out below:

“Sam (Jared Padalecki) is shocked when his childhood imaginary friend Sully (guest star Nate Torrence) makes an unexpected appearance. Sam can’t understand why he’d see Sully now but what’s even more surprising is that Dean (Jensen Ackles) can see him, too. Flashbacks reveal young Sam’s friendship with Sully and why he needed him.”

If there was one other thing that makes this episode all the more interesting, it’s that fan favorite Richard Speight Jr. (Gabriel) is going to be directing. This character is still out there somewhere, and remains one of the best ones that the producers have in their stable of memorable guest stars. There’s ultimately a lot to look forward to here, and the only sad news that we can report is that it is possible that this will end up being the second-to-last episode of the calendar year.
