‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Victoria Smurfit will appear as Cruella

From the moment that it was revealed that “Once Upon a Time” was bringing back notable guest stars like Robbie Kay and Barbara Hershey back for the 100th episode, one name rose to the top of the list of people fans one to see back: Victoria Smurfit as Cruella de Vil. With that in mind, we are now pleased to confirm that dreams do come true … at least to a certain extent.

According to a new report coming in from Entertainment Weekly, Smurfit is going to be returning for multiple episodes in the second half of this season. However, she will not be in the 100th episode. In some ways, this move makes sense and should make fans even happier than it would if she was actually in the 100th. That episode is already stuffed full of guest stars to the point where had she appeared, she probably would not have received much in the way of screen time.

Rumor has it that the story for season 5B is focusing on the Underworld, which is why it makes sense that there are so many actors appearing whose characters are technically already dead. We imagine that the show has an interesting interpretation in mind for this already, given that they have also already cast who could be the Big Bad, a man known only as a “Distinguished Gentleman” for the time being.

There are still several episodes of “Once Upon a Time” coming before we get to this, including a two-hour installment on Sunday. Therefore, there’s a lot to look forward to! Stay tuned for some further updates.
