‘The X Factor’ UK: Fleur East performs ‘Sax,’ Cee Lo Green hits the stage
In addition to the results on Sunday night’s new episode of “The X Factor” UK, we’re also getting performances from two people with some experience with singing-shows already.
First, let’s start with Fleur East. The reigning runner-up returned to the ITV series with a performance of her debut song “Sax,” which is about as full of innuendo as any you’re going to find on television show. While we imagine the lyrics went right over many young viewers’ head (or maybe that’s what we hope for when it comes to the really young viewers), we’ll give credit to Fleur for packing this with energy and charisma. This is really the reason why she made it so far on the show last year; she didn’t get a ton of screen time before the live shows, but she made the most of every moment she was there.
Coupled with Ben Haenow and his new single “Second Hand Heart,” these two are hoping to restore the reputation of the show as one who produces big stars. Ella Henderson is really the last person who competed on this show to end up being a huge recording artist now.
Now, let’s talk about Cee Lo Green, who went out on stage dressed like he fell asleep at a florist shop covered in wax paper. We’re not entirely sure what this was, but we guess with him sometimes it is a part of the point. With that said, we’ll say that we actually find “Robin Williams” to be a much more poignant song than “Music to My Soul,” which he performed on this show wearing whatever in the world this was he head on.
We’re going to have the results of tonight’s “X Factor” episode and much more online soon over at this link, so be on the lookout right now!
