NBC’s ‘The Voice’ rankings: Barrett Baber, Morgan Frazier, Ivonne Acera compete for Blake Shelton

Blake -The Voice” live playoffs are coming Monday night, and thanks to that, we’ve arrived with some rankings for many of the artists! In this particular article we’re putting the focus entirely on Blake Shelton’s team, which is otherwise known as “The Country Group.” Four out of the five artists in this particular category are country singers first and foremost, which means that this could be a very competitive group to judge. It also could mean that one or two could get lost in the shuffle.

If you haven’t seen our own ranking criteria before now, it goes something like this: Performance quality, edit, and internet popularity rolled into one. Remember that there will also be a wild-card added to Team Blake on Monday, but we cannot rank them without knowing who they are.

5. Zach Seabaugh – Great country voice, but he was really glossed over during the Knockout Rounds and we wonder how many people out there are going to remember him. Also, he’s competing for votes against Barrett, who we will have many a thing to say about later in this article.

4. Emily Ann Roberts – She’s been hardcore country almost since the beginning, and there’s not really anything bad that we can say about her other than that sometimes it takes us a second or two to register who she is before she performs.

3. Ivonne Acero – We think that when it comes to both what Blake and America want moving forward, Ivonne is a dark-horse. She’s the only singer here who is not country first and foremost, and she may be able to stand out as a result of that and add some musical diversity. Also, great talent and presence on stage.

2. Morgan Frazier – Morgan is the sort of stolen / stolen-again artist who could be like Craig Wayne Boyd, mostly because we feel like she’s gotten better every time that we’ve heard her, and Blake seems thrilled to have her back. She’s also gotten plenty of screen time and she’s really likable! All of this makes for a great combination going into the next round.

1. Barrett Baber – It’s hard to see a situation where Barrett does not make the semifinals. He’s got the talent, the experience, and the country following to make it very far into this season. Unless there’s a freak performance that comes out as a dud, can you envision a situation where he goes home soon?
