Is ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 6 new tonight on ABC? Further look at ‘Cool Boys’
Just as we did last week, we are reporting some bad news with this “Castle” article: there is no new episode of the show airing on ABC Monday night. What’s the reason for that? It’s as simple as that ABC is preempting it for a special CMA program. It’ll be back on next Monday with “Cool Boys,” and the photo above is a quick peek at Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin as Rick and Ethan Slaughter!
As you may remember from “Headhunters,” Slaughter is not the sort of cop that the majority of the folks in the New York Police Department want to be associated with. He has a bad reputation, does not follow protocol, and can put you in compromising situations. Therefore, it may take a little bit of persuasion before private eye Rick decides to even consider teaming up with him again.
One reason he might opt to do so is simply due to a matter of not having many other options. Esposito and Ryan may have a specific mission of their own to deal with, and based on some early buzz, Stana Katic could be largely absent for this episode. You’ll still see plenty of her in the rest of the November episodes, most importantly with the fall finale “Mr. & Mrs. Castle.” We just hope that for the sake of the show, this story lives up to most of the hype.

With expectations already set that Katic will only have a cameo in this episode this could be a good episode. Fillion and Baldwin work very well together. Almost as well as Fillion works with Katic, but a different dynamic. Thank goodness.
