‘The X Factor’ UK results: Were Kiera Weathers, Alien Uncovered, Bupsi among first acts eliminated?

X Factor -

Tonight, “The X Factor” brought the intense music, the lights, and of course all of the dramatics: This was the first results show of the season!

For the most part, you really cannot read much into the order in which particular acts are called thanks to the whole “in no particular order” of it all. What matters were the ones left over. This week, those bottom three acts were Alien Uncovered, Bupsi, and Kiera Weathers. One of them, otherwise known as the one with the fewest number of votes, was sent home immediately. That person was Bupsi. We cannot say that we are completely shocked by that. She was a nice woman who tried very hard, but she just was not current enough for a competition that really relies on this sort of things with its acts.

Now, let’s talk about the performances from the bottom two.

Alien Uncovered – Outstanding. Maybe one of the best performances in this spot we’ve ever seen in a first week. They are polished, confident, and we think that Kiera is going to have a rough time overtaking them.

Kiera Weathers – She did better than we thought that she would, and her “Everybody Hurts” was emotional. However, we still do not think it was all that competitive at the end here. Alien Uncovered just had so much going on.

Now, we turn to the judges. Rita Ora and Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini do not really matter, since they both of course protected their acts. Nick and Simon both send home Alien Uncovered, and to add insult to injury botched the name, as well. We’re not sure we agree with the decision based on what we’ve seen so far, but Kiera probably has more upside in the competition.
