‘Supernatural’ season 11, episode 5 preview: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and ties to Lizzie Borden?

Few shows produce the “and now for something completely different” effect quite like “Supernatural.” This is a show that continues to do a great job time and time again when it comes to changing gears from one sort of episode to another. It’s an exciting way for the show to continually change things up and make them different, and a great example is coming with next week’s “Thin Lizzie.”

Following us being treated to an episode this past week that revolved for the most part around Sam and Dean spending time in the Impala, we’re touching on the Lizzie Borden story moving forward (at least sort of). You can get some further news in terms of what to expect via the official synopsis below:

“Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a series of murders at a local B&B that also happens to be Lizzie Borden’s old home. When a local man, Len (guest star Jared Gertner), tells them he saw a little girl around the B&B around the time of the murders, the brothers realize Amara (guest star Yasmeene Ball) may be responsible.”

So there you have it: Further proof that this upcoming episode is also going to feature at least one element of the season-long arc regarding the Darkness in Amara. This will probably carry over into some subsequent episodes. While we are very much excited to see what is coming up in this story, it does still feel like there is a whole lot more coming up in this story than there appears to be on the surface.
