‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 21 reaction: Did Maya reveal her feelings for Lucas?

It may have taken some time to come out, but on “Girl Meets World” Saturday night we saw Maya finally reveal her feelings for Lucas. This came via a pretty dramatic series of moments where basically everyone was made aware, at least for the most part, of what everyone else was feeling … with the exception of maybe Riley. She continues to be willing to fall on her sword to ensure that Maya got her feelings out there.

The problem? We think that Lucas cares more for her in that way, even though he did try to get Maya to kiss him at the end of the episode. This is all a complicated situation, made even more complicated by Lucas telling Maya not to tell Riley about it. What are the odds that she really does that, given how close they are?

On a lighter note, we had a fun moment with Zay as we finally saw Vanessa, who was a hilarious part of the “Girl Meets Rah Rah.” It was almost like he was suffering even in New York from what happened to him back in Texas with her. This gave you a little bit of closure on that subject.

Overall, this episode did a good job of continuing the trajectory for the first episode, and clearly putting these characters in a position where they have a whole lot to talk about moving forward. We’re just going to have to wait and see now if that actually happens. Thankfully, the next episode is right around the corner.
