‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 3 preview: ‘Family of Rogues’ brings in Captain Cold’s father

While we know that season 2 of “The Flash” is eventually going to revolve around getting a chance to see Barry Allen vs. Zoom, the show before that is resolving a number of other story threads. One of them is learning more about Captain Cold’s background. “Family of Rogues” is a story that will introduce Lewis Snart for the first time as Leonard’s father, and we are also going to see Lisa once again for a not-so-happy family reunion. (There’s no word on if Heat Wave, pictured, is going to be around this time.)

The synopsis for this episode, in the event you have not seen it so far, is below:

“When Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team find out Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) has been kidnapped, they form an uneasy alliance with his sister, Lisa (guest star Peyton List). However, Barry feels double-crossed when he finds out Snart is working with his father, Lewis Snart (guest star Michael Ironside) on a heist. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) is faced with a difficult decision.”

For the most part, one of the stories that we are the most excited to see play out on the show is one that is not mentioned here: The journey of Cisco Ramon from engineer to meta-human. He is still wrapping his head around his powers, and he is not even telling everyone about him. To us, some of the joy in this story is coming thanks to Cisco not reacting to having powers in the way that you would think. On the surface, you would think that he was perhaps doing a victory dance through STAR Labs.
