‘American Horror Story: Hotel’: Ryan Murphy asks Lady Gaga to join season 6

AHSOne day before the premiere of “American Horror Story: Hotel,” it looks like the show’s co-creator is doing what he can in order to get his biggest star locked in for the long-term … or at least for one more season.

In a post on Twitter below, you can see Ryan Murphy openly lobby to try and get Lady Gaga to say “yes” to being a part of the upcoming sixth season. While FX has not officially renewed the show for another year, we have to think of that as more or less a formality right now. This is the biggest franchise that the network has, and that could not be any more true now with “Sons of Anarchy” off the air. The expectation here is for Gaga to be a huge sell to many of the show’s young viewers, and we will have to wait and see if this ultimately turns out to be the case.

As for whether or not Gaga agrees, we see that being a toss-up. The biggest concern with her is that she has a lot on her plate, including more musical endeavors. This show is a big commitment, and requires at least half a year of your time generally in between filming and also publicity and attending various events. That doesn’t give her a lot of time if she wants to tour or do some other things when it comes to her music career.

For the time being, let’s just prepare to enjoy “Hotel” for what it is: Freaky, scary, and probably a celebration of all the weird stuff in Murphy’s head.
