‘The Leftovers’ season 2, episode 2 preview: Justin Theroux, cast in ‘A Matter of Geography’
Is there something special about the location of Miracle a.k.a. Jarden, Texas? If there is one thing that we feel like the premiere of “The Leftovers” tried to deliver to us, it is that this place has a sort of strange, otherworldly power to it. It is a place where the ground can swell up and devour you, or a place where second chances can be had. It’s a place of pain, suffering, and perseverance.
Despite not seeing much of Kevin Garvey at all in the premiere, we know that the second episode of season 2 airing in a week’s time is going to take a different approach, and give you far more of Justin Theroux and company than what you saw this time. This episode is entitled “A Matter of Geography,” which is far more significant when you consider everything that we just so happened to say about the premiere.
The synopsis below offers you up some additional news as to what to expect:
“Kevin, Nora and Jill try to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of the Mapleton riots, but problems from the past keep resurfacing. The new Garvey clan finds a fresh start in the safety of Miracle. Nora makes an impulsive choice, while Kevin gets entangled in the Murphy family’s problems.”
Kevin just couldn’t leave himself unburdened, could he? He had to find a way to get involved in the actions of Miracle, and this is made all the worse by the fact that he is bringing in his own unique set of problems.
