When ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ ‘American Horror Story,’ and more come to Netflix in October

Netflix -September and October are huge months for TV on Netflix, at least so much as your desire is to binge-watch a number of shows that already aired during the past TV season. It’s a smart move for the most part on the part of networks / studios to get these out there for people to catch up.

Here is one qualm we still have, and we’re looking primarily here at The CW when we say this: What’s the point of putting shows online the same day that they premiere? We have a couple of instances of that below, and it feels like a show like “Arrow” would benefit from giving people at least a week to catch up before the new season premieres. We know that they want to have a window to sell DVDs before it hits Netflix, but still.

Anyhow, here are some of the notable dates that you should know for the next month.

October 2 – “Reign” season 2, “The Vampire Diaries” season 6.

October 6 – “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” “The Originals” season 2, “The Flash” season 1, “iZombie” season 1.

October 7 – “Arrow” season 3, “Supernatural” season 10.

October 12 – “Jane the Virgin” season 1.

October 23 – “Hemlock Grove” season 3.

As you can tell, this is a lighter month as far as exclusive content for the service goes, but have no fear: You are going to get a chance to see some more of that hit Netflix in due time. November brings you “Jessica Jones,” one of the more awesome-looking Marvel products that we’ve seen over the past year. As some of the promos for the show have shown, it’s time everyone knows her name…
