‘Blindspot’ episode 3 preview: First look at ‘Eight Slim Grins’
Through two episodes, we’ve had a chance to start to see a wide array of different elements unfold on NBC’s “Blindspot.” We’ve seen a significant amount of mystery, some surprises, and a strong foundation to what could eventually be a great show.
The issue that still remains is that anytime that you’ve got a show with strong procedural elements, you have to set up stories that are compelling every week, especially in the early going. If someone doesn’t care for one of your first few episodes, you run the risk that they are not going to tune in next time.
Is this going to be the case on “Eight Slim Grins” airing next week? We don’t think it will be a dud, mostly because of the fact that you’ve got an interesting question already about whether or not a man connected to a jewel theft is connected to Jane in some way. We’re not sure that you will get an answer to that over the course of the episode, but it will be interesting to watch it unfold.
If you haven’t seen the synopsis for this hour yet, you can see it below:
“An infamous crew of thieves almost pulls off the perfect jewel heist, except one thief – with a Navy SEAL tattoo identical to Jane’s – is captured at the scene of the crime. Does this man know Jane? Meanwhile, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) receives a visit – and an ambiguous warning – from the mysterious bearded man from her first memory (guest star Johnny Whitworth) as Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) struggle with Jane’s role on the team.”
