Is ‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 1 new tonight on CBS?

Typically, the first Sunday of the fall season tends to be the first time you get a chance to see “The Good Wife” on the air. With that in mind, what makes this year so different than the rest? It is really as simple as one thing: “CSI.”

Because of the decision by CBS to air the series finale for their long-running procedural tonight, the network has opted to delay their season premiere episode of the Julianna Margulies series by a week. Therefore, you can expect to see the show on the air on October 4, and given that the show is actually set to air at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, this may be one of the rare weeks this fall where you get a chance to see it without any sort of NFL delay.

As for what the particular story for this episode is going to be, one of the primary answers that we can give you right now is that it will be Alicia starting over with a firm of her own. While she is not the State’s Attorney thanks to all of this blowing up, she does still have a chance to use her name and some clout to try and do some good in the world.

In continuing the trend of Peter’s recent ambitions, you can also expect to see her have to do her best to smile and put on a good front while he seeks further office. If you haven’t seen the photo above before now, this is a pretty good indicator of what some of the story coming up will be.
