‘Outlander’ season 2: Confirmed returnees, filming in Scotland, and more
The second season of “Outlander” is coming to Starz this spring, and we have to give a thank-you to show creator Ronald D. Moore at the moment. Without these, who knows what we would have to talk about right now?
Moore did a lengthy question-and-answer segment on Twitter over this weekend, so we’re going to give you at least some of the highlights.
1. There is still more of the show still to film – Can you really be that shocked by this? You shouldn’t be, given that it doesn’t premiere until the spring.
What is an interesting reminder here from Moore is just how non-linear this show is when it comes to how it films. It’s possible that no episode is fully complete just yet.
2. No one is playing Briana yet – Trust us, we’ll let you know when something is confirmed.
3. Angus and Rupert will return – Just in case you had any doubt.
4. There are no plans to end the show anytime soon – As Moore says, author Diana Gabaldon is still continuing to write novels, and there is no plan to therefore end the TV series. We’ll have a chance to see in due time just how long the show runs. Our guess is that as long as there is material and those involved want to keep making new episodes, it will happen.
Of course, we’ll have some further news as it starts to come out. The cast has been in Prague and other parts of Europe as of late, but there is not going to be any more filming outside of Scotland.
