‘Faking It’ season 2, episode 14 preview: Is there trouble ahead for Shane and Duke?

While for the most part “Faking It” is a story about Amy and Karma’s friendship / relationship, there is still something more to this show. There are other relationships, and at times they deal with similar struggles such as honesty and acceptance.

This is definitely something that is going to cause trouble moving forward for a certain pair of characters in Duke and Shane, who have for the most part been a fairly solid relationship to this point. Here is the underlying problem to what they’ve got going on at the moment: Shane outed him, and sooner or later, that is going to come out. It’s only going to hurt so much worse now that the two have decided to be in a dedicated, monogamous relationship for the first time.

In the early going next week, though, it appears almost as though the two are going to be wrestling with some different concerns. Specifically, we are referring to the fact that Duke will be having his first fight in Los Angeles, and Shane is going to learn that in the eyes of his boyfriend’s publicist, he is not even remotely a big deal. As a matter of fact, he may just be ignored. Is he going to be able to hide the insecurity he feels as a result of this? It’s going to be difficult.

Also in the upcoming episode, expect to see Lauren and Amy running a stakeout. Is someone they know cheating?
