‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 1 video: Jim Gordon’s difficult position

Fox continues to be very kind when it comes to showing some various teases from the September 21 premiere of “Gotham,” and the latest one below revolves very much around one key subject: Whether or not Jim Gordon has officially been stripped of everything he knows as a police officer by the commissioner.

This preview really seems to be for the most part a “he said, she said” sort of situation when it comes to whether or not Gordon should be dismissed from his post as uniform officer, which was already a demotion from the job he held previously. The biggest takeaway from the preview for the most part is the simple fact that someone does not want Gordon in a position of power … any power. They just want him to go away.

Of course, what we know is that this is just not in Jim’s DNA, and he will do just about anything that he can to ensure that he gets back on the force. It has become a personal mission for him to clean up the city, and let’s be honest: At this point, Gotham needs all the help that it can get. Not only is the Penguin now in control of the city, but we know that the Riddler is starting to turn to the dark side and that more villains, including Theo and Tabitha Galavan, are coming to the city in the premiere.

Let’s just hope that Gordon gets his badge back by the end of the premiere. If he doesn’t, can you imagine the sort of craziness that will unfold?
