‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Official details on ‘The Dark Swan’ premiere

The season 5 premiere of “Once Upon a Time” is coming on Sunday, September 27, and there are going to be many interesting stories that you will get to check out in “The Dark Swan.” You’re getting a new location in Camelot, a variety of new characters including Merida, and of course a very new side of Emma Swan now that she is being controlled by the Dark One.

ABC released the first synopsis for this episode on Friday, and we feel like for the most part, it does a rather exemplary job making it clear of just what you can expect to see:

“Immediately after becoming the Dark One, Emma disappears and the heroes must band together to save her, but first they have to find her, which will require the help of an unlikely ally. Meanwhile, in the Enchanted Forest, Emma struggles to resist her dark urges as she searches for Merlin in the hope that he can stop her transformation. Along the way to Camelot, she gets help from the plucky and brave warrior princess Merida, as well as King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.”

By the time we make it to the end of this episode, hopefully we will get a chance to see whether or not Snow, Charming, or any of Emma’s Storybrooke friends manage to make their way over to Camelot. We do know that it is happening eventually, and to us the story won’t truly get going until you get so many of the main characters in one place.
