‘The Originals’ season 3 spoilers: Joseph Morgan gets (even more) intense in first promo

“I am Klaus Mikaelson. I am the thing that men fear.” Go ahead and drop the mic on that one.

While there are a number of very cool moments in the first promo for the upcoming third season of “The Originals” (first posted by TVLine), that quote from Joseph Morgan’s Klaus continues to stand out to us above anything else. We’re going to see Klaus back to his fearsome self early and often coming into this season, which promises to be a violent, emotional roller-coaster in the wake of everything that happened at the end of last season.

We know that the premiere is starting off in an interesting place, where it seems a little like Cami may be one of the only people who is actually still in Klaus’ corner. Meanwhile, Hayley is still cursed, and those around her have to find a way to make that go away.

Structurally, there are also some other things that are going to be interesting about “The Originals” being back on the air, with one of the biggest things being the simple fact that you are going to see it on a new night in Thursdays. We’re not sure that this will convince the producers to crossover the show more with “The Vampire Diaries,” but it is something that seems like it would be a natural fit.
