‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Will we be revisiting Killer Frost soon?

caitlinWe know that there are a variety of different stories that are coming out right now about “The Flash,” but Killer Frost remains to us one of the most intriguing parts of the show. We’ve known it was coming ever since Caitlin Snow was announced as a main character, and in a way this feels similar to what we had with Laurel Lance in the early years of “Arrow.” Much of the story was wondering about how the characters gets from point A to point B.

We’d argue that there is something particulraly intriguing at the moment about the Caitlin story, mostly because of the sole fact that we are not watching her evolution into a hero. In most iterations of the comics, Killer Frost is a feared villain. Maybe you could consider the New 52 version an antihero, but how do you make someone for the most part beloved into someone who could terrify both viewers and Barry Allen? Time will tell.

What we can at least verify for now is that the show is not going to be abandoning this story at all after showing Killer Frost for the first time after she was shown in the singularity during the season 1 finale. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg virtually confirmed that to Entertainment Weekly while talking about the new season, and seemingly did the same thing when hinting at the eventual transition of Cisco Ramon into Vibe.

Our major hope for Killer Frost is just that we get to see more than a few seconds of her this season. We’ve appreciated that the show hasn’t really held anything back so far this season, and instead has followed more of the strategy where they take big risks, and then figure out what to do later and what stories to tell.
