‘Masters of Sex’ season 3, episode 10 preview: Virginia finds herself between Bill, Dan Logan

While “Masters of Sex” is far too sophisticated a show to be about just a love triangle, there is little doubt at the moment that one is a firm part of the series. Bill Masters knows that he and Virginia Johnson have something special, and that their connection goes far beyond any other couple that he’s probably ever known. They are work partners and at times passionate romantic ones.

However, at the same time she also has a connection going now with Dan Logan, and finds herself being pulled between these two opposing forces. Both are extremely successful, and the decision that she is left to make here goes beyond just her personal feelings; she has to think about her family, her career, and so much more. Bill wants to continue working with her, even if she may have some problems with the way that he is handling his new study.

Also, expect some more Libby Masters angst at some point in the hour. We feel like Caitlin Fitzgerald really does a great job in this role, but when the dust settles we feel like there’s not really that much of a story left to tell with her. Her feelings for Bill are clear at this point, and the same can be said in reverse.

There are only three more episodes to go until the story is at an end for the summer, so we imagine that if there are any big moves that are going to happen, they will sooner rather than later.
