‘Supergirl’ spoilers: ’24’ alum set to play Lucy, Lois Lane’s mother
It has been known for some time that “Supergirl” is going to be bringing forward Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lois Lane’s sister Lucy, and to go along with that, what we have now is some of the latest casting news regarding her father!
As first reported by IGN, Glenn Morshower (best known for “24”) is going to be recurring on the show as General Sam Lane. He is an overprotective father for sure, and he is also someone who is going to use Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) for at least one key mission. Let’s just hope that this is a very different sort of General than General Eiling from “The Flash,” who proved himself to be a really bad dude.
This is just one of many castings that we expect to see over the course of the coming months even still, mostly because this is a show that requires so many different people to sign on at one point or another to play assorted heroes / villains. Part of the fun of this show is seeing how many different people could fit into this universe, and how the show can also circumvent using people who are probably already claimed elsewhere by DC Comics. That’s probably one of the reasons why you don’t end up seeing Lois, since she is already firmly occupied by the feature films.
In the event that you missed our previous reports, the “Supergirl” season premiere is set to air on CBS come Monday, October 26.
