‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: See Misha Collins’ Castiel in first premiere photo

The eleventh season of “Supernatural” will be starting up on The CW come Wednesday, October 7, and we come bearing news on a couple of different subjects … including just what the fate of Castiel is going to be after the crazy events of the season 10 finale.

The one thing that we can say on this at the moment is rather simple: He’s going to be suffering in a big way. As executive producer Jeremy Carver tells TVLine (who also first shared the Misha Collins photo below), the aftereffects of what Rowena did to him are going to be very clear in the early going:

“Castiel, first and foremost, has to find a way out of this spell that Rowena has cast on him … That’s not as easy as it may sound. Being under the influence of this spell, it’s going to lead him to some pretty uncomfortable situations.”

Whatever happened to him, we hope that it continues to keep him in Sam and Dean’s orbit for some time. Much like we think that the Winchesters are more fun when they are working together and not dealing with brotherly drama, we also find Castiel at his best when he is working alongside them in some way.

Another bit of news revealed by the publication is probably something that you saw coming from a mile away: Crowley is still going to be around. After Mark Sheppard was at Comic-Con, did you really think that he was going to be done with the show?
