‘Dancing with the Stars 21’ spoilers: Gary Busey joins cast (seriously)

For a few minutes after we heard the news that Gary Busey was going to be a part of “Dancing with the Stars,” we thought that the heavens were pranking us into thinking that something so wonderful could be actually true.

Well, it actually does seem like this could be true … and we’re going to contain ourselves from making a series of mechanical dog and acronym references the rest of the article in celebration of the greatest / worst contestant in the history of “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Tonight on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” it was announced by the host and Gary (who arrived via horse) that he is going to be one of the upcoming contestants. Why? Hilarious, he claimed that he really did not have anything better to do. Gotta appreciate the honesty there.

Now when it comes to pure dance ability, we do have to say that there is almost zero chance Gary lasts longer than a few weeks. The man is 71 years old, and has a pretty lengthy injury history. His body’s just not going to do what other celebrities’ will. He also has a terrible attention span from what we’ve seen from other shows.

What Busey lacks when it comes to dance moves, however, he is probably going to make up when it comes to comedy. He’s such a random, strange guy, and while it felt uncomfortable at first watching him, we feel like he’s now in on the joke and he understands a lot of his shtick. Let’s just say that we feel rather bad for whoever has to try and keep him on track as a partner.
