‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Meet Jesse Quick!
“The Flash” season 2 is adding another face to its roster of speedsters for the upcoming second season.
We’ve already heard that both Jay Garrick and Wally West are going to be major players on the show’s upcoming second season, and now you can add Jesse Quick to the list. She is a female speedster who is going to appear in multiple episodes, and will serve as one of the connections between Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Professor Zoom, the man being billed at the moment as the season 2 Big Bad. He is a villain capable of such speeds that even Barry would be shocked about.
As for who is going to play this character, the answer that we have for you, per TVLine, is relative newcomer Violett Beane. This has to be a great role to dive into with a small resume in acting! You get to play a comic-book hero, and more than that a strong, capable female hero in a universe that still needs more of them, especially in the meta-human department. Sure, at some point we’re probably going to see Caitlin Snow become more Killer Frost, but it’s not altogether confirmed just how or when we are going to see this happen. Also, Killer Frost is a reluctant villain at best, far from a hero.
“The Flash” season 2 premieres on The CW October 6, but we’d be surprised if we see Jesse at any point in the first couple of episodes. Given that Professor Zoom has not been cast yet, we imagine that this will be similar to “The Flash” season 1, where the Big Bad will really not start to surface until near the end of the fall. The difference there was just that the Reverse Flash was just Harrison Wells in hiding.
