‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Jared Padalecki on the Winchesters’ Darkness drama

It is never easy to be facing a Big Bad on a show like “Supernatural.” Therefore, we imagine that it is even more difficult when you consider the fact that the one for season 11 is far more ethereal than a man or a woman. The Darkness is just there. It’s floating in the air, spreading like a storm, and enveloping Sam and Dean. what sort of chaos will come as a result of it? That is something that will be particularly interesting to find out more about as we get further and further into season 11.

For now, one thing that is clear is that this is probably not a problem that the brothers are going to be able to solve on their own. As Jared Padalecki teases in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, the brothers are going to have to find a way to take on this opponent through very resourceful means:

“We’re going to have to maybe go to Metatron for help or Castiel, and we don’t even know what they know because the Darkness predates them as well … We’re going to see the boys really stop at no end to right this wrong they’ve brought onto this Earth.”

If nothing else, you can at least rejoice in the fact that the Darkness is an opponent that unites Padalecki and Jensen Ackles’ characters, and we do not get a sense that this season is going to be designed to tear the two brothers apart.
