‘Ray Donovan’ season 3, episode 7 preview: Paige’s deception and Ray’s ‘addiction’

Things have not gone exactly well for our title character on “Ray Donovan” as of late. We have seen a wide array of different things take shape here this season, and the new character of Paige (Katie Holmes) is at the center of many of them.

As the sneak peek below for Sunday night’s new episode suggests, Paige has found a new way to deceive Ray, and yet she doesn’t seem ready to dispatch him immediately afterwards. What’s the reason for that? As she explains to him, she finds something fascinating about what he really wants in this world: The fight. He’s almost addicted to this in a way that other people are addicted to other things like money or power. She wants to understand him better, while he seems to want no part of it from the moment that she admits to him that she lied.

As to where the rest of this episode will go from here, we imagine that Ray is not going to take any deception lying down. The would imagine that there are a few surprises in store in this episode, and he will find a way to fight back soon enough. There are, after all, still five more episodes even after this one for things to get crazy on another level.
