‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: Who is coming on board now from past season?

While Mare Winningham may not be the most-familiar name to some “American Horror Story” fans out there, she is still someone who has a very well-documented history with the franchise. When you consider this, it’s pretty easy to be excited over her coming back to the show for her third season season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the “St. Elmo’s Fire” actress is going to be a laundress at the title establish, and she will be working once again with Evan Peters. she previously played the mother of his Kyle during “American Horror Story: Coven.” She was Pepper’s sister during “American Horror Story: Freak Show.” Will she actually be someone not related to one of the other characters this time? Time will tell…

The new season of “American Horror Story” will premiere on October 7, and as of this writing the entire cast is hard at work on new episodes. Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer are the most high-profile additions (Bomer was on “Freak Show,” but not as a regular); of course, many beloved favorites like Sarah Paulson, Finn Wittrock, and Kathy Bates are all going to return. The early indication is that this is going to be a scarier season than the past two, and will remind viewers more of what the early days of the series were like. We’ll have to wait and see whether or not this actually happens, but we’re intrigued to find out what Ryan Murphy and company will bring to the table!
